Love this place. I love eating the avocado and turkey crepe. Try the Turkish tea and candies.

When Baklava & Coffee first opened, I found the overall atmosphere to be super stale and unwelcoming. Since then, I've stopped in a couple times and can say that each experience gets better and better! The star of the show is definitely the baklava. My favorites are the pistachio and the sour cherry but I've tried a few different kinds and have never been disappointed. They serve Panther coffee but also traditional Turkish coffee, which is unique for the area. Something I suggest trying at least once! My last visit there, I hung out for awhile and they even brought over some delicious pistachios to snack on. While I love grabbing a coffee and small bite, they also have fuller breakfast dishes, sandwiches, salads, crepes, Turkish delights (if you're familiar with those), along with halva which kind of tastes like Spanish turrón. There is a lot of seating inside and a few tables outside, perfect if it's a nice day and you want to soak in sunshine along Miracle Mile. Overall, I'm glad this place found a home in the Gables. I was a bit worried it wouldn't last but so far so good!

Coral gables walked and it seemed interesting to meet a Turkish place where it could take a typical coffee which seemed to me very good, very gentle care when serve coffee, have a variety of Turkish sweets which at that time I could not eat by a matter of time , but be back to try them all in turn sell special to prepare Turkish coffee cafe which makes it an experience at home, really recommended . I could see that also have a menu which has some variety would not be bad to try somewhere next visit , and I 'm loving middle eastern food , so it will be a good excuse to return.

I came across this cafe by accident , while walking down miracle mile, and I am so glad I walked in! I order some Turkish tea (free refills!... Yay!) And my boyfriend order an espresso, and a couple of baklava pastries. We both loved it everything! The main guys brought us a crepe filled with Nutella and strawberries... Which was delicious and on the house.! Great service and great food. We will definitely be back

I found this place thanks to yelp. I was going to go to my regular coffee spot but decided to try something new. It was my first time in a Turkish shop so I had no idea what to get but the server was so nice and helped me out. I had the Turkish coffee. It is strong but so good. As per the servers suggestion he added some sugar to it. It was barely noticeable but that's fine cause I like strong coffee. I had the milk and hazelnut baklava and a sweet potato bread. The baklava was a perfect complement to the coffee. The sweet potato bread was good but not what I expected. Even though I was told it was "savory" for some reason I was expecting it to be sweet. None the less it was still good. Nice place to drop by for a quick lunch or coffee. I plan to stop by for breakfast some time soon!
Great coffee. Actually SUPERB coffee. TONS of Turkish delights to choose from and a welcome change from your typical Starbucks and Cafeterias Cubanas but dear lord the Turkish breakfast is overpriced. I get it...you're on miracle mile. A little cheese, toasts, preserves, olives and cucumbers aren't a huge cost.. If this place moved somewhere less annoying and saved it's costs to make it cozier I'd live here. I'd come here more often if parking wasn't an issue. Must try if you love baklava. Gulluoglu Turkish delights

Their Turkish coffee was great! Everything here is extremely fresh, and the service is great--very friendly and attentive. We went for lunch, and they had a good selection of savory crepes and baguette sandwiches or salads. Try the dessert crepes! I got a bag of mixed Turkish delight to go, which was also very fresh and only five bucks for whatever I could fit into a bag. The baklava is also excellent. The location is on Miracle Mile, but its close to the post office/Ross end, so parking is a little bit easier.

This is a hidden gem. I walked past this small coffee shop yesterday with my mother and today we returned. We tried the chicken and shrimp crepes which were very good. The dessert crepes were also very tasty. The cappuccino was delicious (and I'm not a coffee drinker). Overall, loved the place. Great food, great customer service and loved the small coffee shop feel. I will be a repeat client.

I admit it. I am an espresso snob. Their espresso was truly outstanding. They grind just before brewing, they have top of the line equipment and they know how to use it. They use a really good locally roasted coffee, Panther Coffee. And the espresso was complimented by a really good baklava. Great location, on Miracle Mile, and nicely & brightly lit. I will definitely go back. There a very few places in Miami that actually serve truly great espresso.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots. The owners and employees are friendly and particularly accommodating if you have special requests (egg whites only in your omelet, replacing strawberries because of an allergy, etc.). The baklava and Turkish delight are to die for. The portions are good, and while the service is slow sometimes, it is always with a smile. And you usually get a complimentary something or other at the end of your meal, especially if you are a regular -- sometimes it is baklava, a dessert crepe, etc. Also -- while they aren't listed on the menu, the cook has created over 200 different crepe recipes. Don't be afraid to ask what he recommends! The lemon crepe he surprised us with one day was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten.

Had Turkish coffee and a crepe with avocados, tomatoes, and cheese. Coffee was different than other coffees I have had in that it tasted like a dark chocolate. The crepe was pretty good too! We went there Sunday about 10 am for breakfast and sat outside. The area was quite and calm. The weather was still nice. The staff was super friendly and relaxed. We are going there again for soup and like a dessert crepe.

I live a few blocks from this place and absolutely love the different selection of baklava (sp?). I usually stop by when I'm walking miracle mile and buy one or two to-go. I don't like coffee so I can't judge them on that, but I've heard great things. Overall the place is a great little gem in coral gables.

I had no clue what Baklava was until I ran into this spot and I am hooked! Their coffee is awesome too! Love the fact that they offer rewards like Belly and I get a free pastry every 15 points so every 3 visits ! Not a bad deal! I have only been here for a desert pastry but will for sure try something off the menu soon!!

Great baklava. Great Turkish delight. Great (panther) coffee. This place has great potential. They just need to change the stark decor. Go with something warmer. Soft plush couches. Middle-Eastern/Turkish vibe. Set up same tables outside and offer hookah. I really want to see them succeed but unless they start listening to what some reviewers have said, I don't have the best hope for their future. There aren't enough Turks in Miami to keep this business afloat. They need to be more open to constructive suggestions.

I was put off at first when I walked in and everyone looked up to stare at me however the gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. The Turkish coffee and tea are excellent and all the food is amazing and fresh. Except for the Turkish coffee everything is Panther Coffee and is amazing as well. Ill definitely be going back.

Oh Yelp.... When will you give us the option to give zero stars? I dragged my husband and baby out to the Gables hoping for some delicious Panther coffee. We walked into this place and should've just gone with our gut and walked right out. It is bare, the furniture is bulky and weird (they must have bought 5 dining room sets on clearance at City Furniture and thought it was appropriate coffee shop seating) and the vibe was just cold and off. We weren't greeted just looked at. There was a man (a large man) having coffee with another man (we got the impression they are possibly the owners while waiting for our coffee) who refused to move to allow room for my stroller to pass through. The pastry display case was bare and what they did have looked stale and unappealing. My husband ordered a latte and we almost threw up in our mouths as we saw the lack of hygiene used while making the coffee. Again, we should've walked out. The kid behind the counter filled the cup to the rim and set it on the counter where it spilled a bit, no apology or offer to fix the situation. My husband carefully grabbed it to add sugar but the liquid spilled and burned his hand. We paid $6 for a shitty cup of dirty coffee that ended up getting tossed in the trash as my husband attempted to pour out some of the liquid to mix some sugar in. The area where the sugar is was full of trash - used mayo packets. This place was absolutely disgusting and a complete disappointment. The best part of our is it was finally walking out.

Seriously delicious foods, deserts and coffee, however the location is in serious need of some better ambience. Maybe some music or smaller tables, maybe some art on the walls, I don't know. But anyhow, it's a new place and hopefully they will make the ambiance more colorful. Service was also very good and friendly. If you are in the area, definitely check it out.

I wish I could give them four stars just for trying so hard. I really enjoyed the Turkish coffee and the fact that they serve Panther Coffee is enough to make me stop by again, but it will be a hard choice with many other great coffee houses a block or two away. Their decor is dated, but they made up for it with excellent service.

Hmmm not sure about this place. I'm always up for trying new coffeeshops but something just seemed off about this place. A Turkish coffeehouse in the Gables? Odd but true...seems very out of place, but ok, still willing to give it a try. Walking in.....the decor...it's uh...not the most attractive. I feel like I'm in a lower class part of Istanbul, not the well-monied city of Coral Gables. Boring and not even any music playing. I don't feel comfortable hanging out here. Next, on to the coffee and baklava. I tried a Turkish coffee...I didn't like it, but just my personal preference...and a piece of pistachio baklava. I wasn't a fan of that either. I think the baklava is a lot better at both Baklava Factory and Daily Bread. I applaud these guys for taking a risk, but I doubt I'd come back.

visited alone 1/5/14. I stopped in on a lazy early morning when the gables was empty after dropping snow bird parents at miami airport. simple decor, which is not to say bad. the music was too loud for me. no other visitors but me. Despite a language barrier the guy at the counter was friendly. He didn't understand my question but provided an adequate espresso. He showed a menu and said the place was in the process of printing menus I could take to go. I'll be back to try their american coffee and a pastry before defaulting to Pasion Del Cielo. Parking: on street. I paid the couple of quarters even though the mile was empty. Site: baklavacoffee.com Contact: 90 Miracle Mile Coral Gables, FL 33134 USA 786-360-6506 ask@baklavacoffee.com

Always a pleasure to eat here great service good food. Very clean and amazing hosting
This is a true baklavaci, or baklavaria, should we translate it to Miami Spanglish - meaning a baklava shop. But apparently, this is a Turkish baklava shop - and one that markets goods from one of the most respected baklavaci in Turkey since the brand Gulluoglu is everywhere inside and it mentions that the brand goes back to 1871. As for the baklavas, they have a wider variety than most other Middle-Eastern establishments in Miami - and making sure that they don't make too many to minimize waste and keeping their stock fresh. I'm also a fan of their sweet and fruity Turkish delights, which was something new to me. They're akin to fruity blocks of gummies and are just plain delicious being filled with nuts and real fruit flavors. They also sell the cream-stuffed shabiyet pastries. And some other sweet and savory pastries, sandwiches, salads, cakes, teas/coffees (Panther Coffee), and even breakfast - you'll just have to peruse their menu to understand what more this place can offer. Great place to unwind, since they do also have a few games people can play inside. Just don't mind the interior that may at times appear sterile.

Turkish Baklava is some of the best in the world and they offer one of the oldest brands, Gulluoglu. We come down from Hollywood every couple of months and when we do, we leave with a whole tray of the cheese Su Borek for $60 and portion it out and keep it in our freezer for Sunday morning breakfast. You won't find anything like it anywhere else in South Florida. I wish they would do something about their website though, no hours of operation, not mobile friendly either. Someone should do some trade with them..... They have added GREAT photo prints on the walls of famous spots in Istanbul. As someone else mentioned it used to be pretty sterile but now nice.

The race to serve Panther Coffee in Coral Gables is officially over and the winner is Baklava & Coffee. This small Turkish coffee house hides behind an undescriptive glass door and has been serving the Panther brand to unsuspecting customers for over a week now. Without a sign at the front, I found it because of a sticker at the entrance advertising Panther Coffee and free Wi-Fi. Inside, you can see that this place is brand new. There are boxes of tiles in the kitchen, in plain sight, and lots of unopened packages behind the counter. There is a very faint smell of coffee floating in the air, overpowered by the smell of fresh paint and fresh cement. I feared that dust from the construction would be found everywhere but on the contrary, the coffee shop is very clean and ready to serve customers. But to come here because the Panther logo is on the front door is the worst mistake you could possibly make. This is a Turkish coffee house. I repeat, Turkish coffee house. What does that mean? Well, besides Turkish coffee available on the premises, it means Turkish products, baked goods, pastries, sweets, and also, a first for the Gables and the surrounding areas. On my unexpected encounter, I was able to enjoy the Turkish coffee, which I hadn't had since my good friend Muhammet and I parted ways after college, when the nights were filled with that brew. Also, I was able to sample many items sitting on the hot plates on display. I had the Su Boregi with cheese, which was delicious and it's probably the most popular Turkish baked good. I also had the bagel, a spinach hot pocket, breads filled with Turkish feta cheese and breads filled with something sweet. I would have kept sampling, but I am very foreign to Turkish cuisine, and I just didn't know what to order. Also, the person behind the counter kept telling me the Turkish names, and I don't speak Turkish or understand it. I really enjoyed stumbling upon Baklava & Coffee. Discovering a whole new culture through their food is exciting to me, and I am grateful. I was told by the attendant that everything flies from Istanbul daily, and probably that is why everything tasted so good. Also, since it is their first week or so, they are still waiting on more items to fill their displays with desserts and cakes. But they are ready to serve, and the place is furnished with very comfortable seats and tables, and there is free Wi-Fi. There will be a grand opening soon, but being able to get a sneak peek is priceless. As good as beating the crowds.

Different flavors, different textures, this place should be deemed the superlative of "Most Outstanding Place for Cultural Pistachio Desserts on Miracle Mile"-- because this place is just amazing. I came here to escape the daily tribulations and mundane problems of working in a fast-paced office, and this place provided me with a place to ponder, relax, and think. Very casual environment, indeed! The place is very "hipster"-- very hidden, not very mainstream, bare décor, just a place to relax and drink coffee. It isn't a current hit to visit because their hot food section is limited, but I love their baklava. I am not sure what exactly the craze surrounding Panther Coffee is, which they offer, but I hear so many people talk about it. It tastes like all other coffee to me, but still delicious and keeping you awake when you feel like taking a nap at work. I will come here again to satisfy my pistachio needs, but if you are on a tight budget, check out their prices first. I think their baklava is definitely the freshest I have tasted, but this place could burn a hole through your pocket. Maybe I am just cheap. The coffee was $2.50ish, and the cake I got was $6 something, rounding up to $10, but this type of cake was the type of cake that is made with detail, fresh layers of different tastes and textures, and makes you leave with a smile. The freshness, taste of honey, and crispiness of their desserts can be worth it though-- and maybe I am just cheap because everything I have tried here has been delicious.

Deliciously overpriced- 4 stars- but hey, that's Miracle Mile for you-- luxury dining, but you get what you pay for. Out of all the places on Miracle Mile, this is probably the most ideal place to lounge around, drink Panther coffee, and enjoy your day. They have a wide array of baklava (several pistachio types which are jealous) and desserts, but please note that they are pricy. There is ample seating, and I just wish that they would put up some décor because this place just screams "sanitary" with their white walls, but they really try to make you feel welcome here. I will probably come here again for my baklava fix. And the adventure continues...

Great coffee! Just the fuel I needed to make it through a slow afternoon! Combine that with the variety of Baklava they offer - Boom! Transported to a magical place!
